"Whose Dimension Is It Anyway?" is the fourth episode of the sixth season and the one hundred and seventy-fourth episode overall of Craig of the Creek.
The episode, its writers, and its storyboarders received an Annie nomination for Best Writing in TV/Media.
Synopsis[]
Wren enlists Craig in a traditional dream experiment.
Plot[]
Craig shows up to Wren's house to spend the night next, and meets her mom, who says she's sorry to hear about the bees infesting the house (and reminding Wren about her ant farm getting loose and taking over their laundry room). Craig mentions how hauling his stuff to all his friends' houses is getting to be a pain, which slightly depresses Wren as it seems to remind her of something, but she shows him her room full of science stuff, and a ceiling painted to look like outer space by her dad.
In the middle of the night, Wren asks Craig if he's ever though about how his life might be different, and convinces him to try out a gadget of hers to explore other universes via their dreams, becoming invisible ghost-like beings in the process. They travel to another dimension where Wren's mom and her cat have each other's heads, and quickly leave. The next one is where everyone's merpeople, and a giant shark crashes through the wall, causing them to leave in a hurry. Next is an upside-down dimension, where Wren's father visits, and gets into an argument with her mom, depressing Wren again, so they leave.
The next dimension is one where Slide the Ferret's real, and best friends with its resident Craig. It's also one where Wren's parents are about to get divorced, and even though Craig wants to permanently merge with his counterpart here and be besties with Slide, he decides to be a good friend and go with Wren to find a dimension where her parents are still together.
In the next dimension they visit, Wren's parents are still happy together, like she'd hoped. This dimension's version of Wren isn't into science, though, and Wren decides she can't stay, because her parents would want her to be her true self. They wake up, and Wren goes to stay at her dad's house for their split custody agreement period.
