"Tea Timers' Ball" is the 24th episode of the second season and the 64th episode overall of Craig of the Creek.
Synopsis[]
The Tea Timers throw a dance and invite everyone in the creek. Craig believes it's solely to prank him, while Kelsey deals with an unwanted admirer.
Plot[]
The episode starts with George approaching the Stump Kids to invite them to the first annual Tea Timer's Ball. Eliza has instructed him to invite everyone in the Creek.
At the Trading Tree, J.P asks Maney to go with him, to which she agrees. Craig however, wonders why everyone in the Creek has been invited. He suspects that Eliza is plotting revenge against him.
As much as Kelsey states she does not want to go, Aaron asks her to go with him by reading a poem to her. After finishing, the other kids at the Trading Tree stare at Kelsey and wait for her to make a decision. She reluctantly agrees to go with him, albeit due to being placed under pressure and not wanting to embarrass him.
Back at the Stump, J.P shows his dance moves to Maney while Kelsey regrets her decision. Meanwhile, Craig comes up with theories on how Eliza will exact her revenge, such Craig accidentally sitting on a Choco Roll or being attacked by a swarm of bees.
Afterwards, Maney consoles Kelsey. She tells her to be honest with her feelings. Kelsey imagines that Aaron will explode if she did. Then, she imagines Aaron and herself being old together, and then she herself explodes.
Just before they go to the ball, Craig prepares himself by testing out the phonebook underneath his jacket, in the event that Eliza is planning a physical attack. Kelsey wears her casual outfit for the event, and when Aaron wonders why, she claims that Mortimor ruined all of her dresses.
At the ball, Craig eats the Choco Rolls and discovers that they are all real. Meanwhile, when it is time for the slow dance, Kelsey and Aaron dance, but Kelsey notices the other couples dancing, such as Handlebarb with Warpspeed, Boris with Big Red, and Eliza with Toman.
Kelsey snaps by screaming out loud. Shortly after, she shouts at Aaron that she does not like him. She tells him how she feels and Aaron apologizes for pressuring her. He also allows her to keep the corsage he gave her.
Craig confronts Eliza and learns that the ball is not revenge against him. She explains that it is retaliation against Sailor Boy for not inviting her to his family's yacht. Outside, Sailor Boy is devastated that he was not invited to the ball.
Craig feels rejected, but J.P reassures him that he has plenty of enemies in the Creek, such as Jason, Turner, and Big Red, making Craig feel better. Nonetheless, the episode ends with everyone in the creek dancing.
