  • "Afterschool Snackdown"'s premiere was the least viewed of the series when it aired, receiving only 210,000 viewers. This broke "The Other Side: The Tournament"'s record low of 230,000 viewers. This record was later beaten by "Winter Creeklympics", whose premiere was only seen by 204,000 viewers.
  • Yakurt is a reference to Yakult milk beverage, a Japanese probiotic milk drink.
  • The episode is a parody of televised cooking/ baking competitions
    • In particular, the fist bump is a reference to the handshake from The Great British Bake Off.
